Omar Sharkawy is an Investment Associate at +VC, an early-stage venture capital firm focused on investing in tech and tech-enabled startups across the MENA region and its diaspora. He brings experience across venture capital, investments, and financial markets, with a strong focus on identifying high-potential businesses and evaluating opportunities with strong growth potential. He is passionate about partnering with ambitious founders and supporting them as they build, scale, and create lasting value.

Prior to joining +VC, Omar was a Senior Investment Analyst at Orascom Development Holding, where he worked on investments, M&A transactions, debt raising, and strategic projects across multiple markets. He also brings prior experience in venture capital and investment banking, having worked on early-stage technology investments and capital markets transactions.

Omar earned his BA in Economics from The American University in Cairo, with a concentration in Quantitative Financial Economics and a minor in Finance.
